Karen Greenberg contributed to the new Adoption Factbook V, Putative Father Registries: Northeast Region; National Council for Adoption. Karen Greenberg is the editor of the Policies and Procedures Manual of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys (AAAA). In May, she attended the annual conference of the AAAA in Savannah, Georgia.

On April 2, 2011, Arlene Kasarjian presented a workshop on Estate Planning for Adoptive Families at the 38th Annual New England Adoption Conference, sponsored by the Adoption Community of New England (ACONE).
Arlene Kasarjian recently spoke at Resolve of New England's annual Fertility Treatment, Donor Choices and Adoption Conference. Arlene presented a workshop on the Legal Strategies in Domestic Adoption.
Arlene Kasarjian was recently appointed to the board of the Westwood Youth and Family Services, in Westwood, MA.
Karen K. Greenberg just returned from Minneapolis, the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys Midyear Conference, which focused on disrupted adoptions. She chatted with Garrison Keeler about adoption, reproductive technology and childrens' views of who they are and their distaste at being labeled by checking off a box, and challenged as to the box of their choice.
Karen K. Greenberg currently the Immediate Past President of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys is presently drafting amendments to the Academy's present Policies and Procedures Manual to incorporate its newly adopted specialty division The American Academy of Assisted Reproductive Attorneys.
Michael Leary, Paralegal, continues to speak each semester to the "Introduction to Paralegal Studies" class at Mass Bay Community College.

In February 2010, Arlene spoke at Boston College Law School, in a program sponsored by the Career Services Office, to second and third year law students about working in a small firm.
Karen K. Greenberg conducted a workshop with her colleague, Etta Lappen Davis, at the Council on Accreditation (COA) 2009 National Conference—Strategies for Sustaining Success, August 9-11, 2009 in NYC. The workshop, Adoption Ethics: Conflicting Rights and Interests, focused on ethical dilemmas in legal adoption practices.
Our latest addition to the Konowitz & Greenberg team, Attorney Roz Kabrhel, successfully recouped attorneys’ fees, costs and expenses incurred for a client involved in a contested guardianship of a loved one.
For several years, Attorney Karen K. Greenberg and colleagues Etta Lappen Davis and Raquel Woodard, have been working on legislation to amend the Massachusetts Adoption Statutes, found at M.G.L.ch 210. On June 30, 2009, they met with Lt. Governor Timothy Murray to discuss their proposed legislation.
In a recent victory, Mia Rosenblatt Tinkjian assisted a Condominium Association in recouping losses for unpaid condo fees from a former Unit Owner who had vacated the Unit, allowed the bank to foreclose on the property, and declared personal bankruptcy. Through patience and persistence, she was able to recover the full amount of Association Fees owed by the former Unit Owner from the Bank that had purchased the mortgage, as well as a full payment of outstanding fees and assessments from the time of the foreclosure sale forward, including late fees for those months, and up-front payment of one year’s worth of Association Fees from the new owners of the Unit.

ACONE, a Massachusetts based organization that provides information, advocacy and support for all those who are touched by adoption. ACONE’s annual conference took place on April 4 and April 5, 2008. On April 4, Karen and Arlene presented a workshop to adoption professionals, entitled “Disrupted /Dissolved Adoptions, A Preventative Approach.” On April 5, Arlene presented the workshop, “Estate Planning for Adoptive Families.”
