Successful Defense of Negligence Claims
Konowitz & Greenberg, PC recently successfully defended a professional tennis player in a negligence suit filed against him. In the case, O'Brien v. Econo-Tennis Management Corporation, the plaintiff alleged she had been injured during a tennis lesson with our client, and that her injuries were, in part, a result of our client's negligence. After the completion of discovery, and while a motion for summary judgment was pending in the Middlesex County Superior Court, the parties agreed to mediate the case. After settling her claims against a co-defendant in the case, who this firm did not represent, the plaintiff agreed to the dismissal of her claims against the tennis pro, with our client paying no money to the plaintiff.
